Startup Lessons
There’s a wealth of excellent advice from some seriously battle-scared startup veterans available today.
This is one of the best, Paul Graham’s 2006 essay, “The Hardest Lessons for Startups to Learn“.
In summary:
1. Release Early
2. Keep Pumping Out Features
3. Make Users Happy
4. Fear the Right Things
5. Commitment Is a Self-Fulfilling Prophesy
6. There is Always Room
7. Don’t Get Your Hopes Up
…and what it’s all about: Speed, not Money.

Background
Hacker News is a brilliant source of news for any programmer who wants to be an entrepreneur.
Hacker News doesn’t have search yet, however some smart folks have built a tidy search engine for the Hacker News community using the HN archives and Solr.
SearchYC.com is so good, that I use it first (shock! before Google) for start-up related searches. I got tired of typing the URL, so I wrote a FireFox Search plug-in for SearchYC.
