Disable Google SearchWiki for every International Google TLD
For the impatient: Download Disable SearchWiki for any TLD. (Requires Greasemonkey)
I am surprised and mildly disappointed by Google’s recent departure from their simple uncluttered interface with the launch of SearchWiki.
There are several scripts available which disable it for google.com and google.co.uk, but what about google.com.au, .co.hk and all the other top level domains (list)?
I’ve modified GoogleSystems script to work for any TLD.
Install: Disable SearchWiki for any TLD. (Requires Greasemonkey)
Book meme
There seems to be a book meme traveling through the Python community at the moment.
What you have to do is, “Grab the nearest book, turn to page 56, and post the fifth sentence to your blog.”
Here’s mine:
“You must make it very clear that this code is disposable, incomplete, and unable to be completed.”
– from: The Pragmatic Programmer by Andrew Hunt & David Thomas.
The chapter is called, “Prototypes and Post-It notes”.
This book has been on my desk for months. I kinda stalled during chapter one to read other more exciting books. I will read this book one day, it is brilliant.
